Pride + LGBTQ Centre
OUR MISSION
The Pride & LGBTQ Centre provides advocacy, education, support, and resources to members of the LGBTQ community and their allies. The Centre celebrates diversity on-and-off campus, and encourages compassion for all by empowering members and allies of the LGBTQ community.
DROP-IN SPACE
The Pride & LGBTQ Centre is a non-judgemental, safe, and fun place for all students to meet friends and learn about LGBTQ focused issues. Students are also able to use the space to study on their own or in groups.
ADVOCACY
The Centre serves as a primary resource for peer support, crisis intervention, information and referral services. Staff can refer students to campus and community organizations that offer guidance and to answer questions if we are unable to do so.
RESOURCES
The resource library offers a wide variety of brochures, books, journals, magazines and films. You can also sign-out the literature for a week if that better suits your needs.
VOLUNTEER
Students can volunteer with the Pride & LGBTQ Centre in many ways, such as: joining the Pride Social Advisory Committee, helping organize events and activities, and by becoming a peer support.
