The high cost of tuition fees can be a barrier for many students trying to access post-secondary education. In an effort to break down this barrier, the SA offers an emergency bursary program. 

This bursary offers short-term relief to cover a student’s everyday necessities, but the SA recognizes this funding is not enough. The SA is committed to lobbying the government for increased postsecondary funding, as well as the reduction and elimination of tuition fees and an increased living wage.

The emergency bursary is intended to provide short-term assistance to students in severe financial need. Eligible students are able to receive a grant of $500.

To apply, please print and complete the application form found here and bring it to the SA Main Office no later than November 6, 2015. Funds will be distributed soon after the deadline.
